Star Power book, 2 templates, & Quick Grips
This pattern can be made by all skill levels starting with advanced beginners. Kansas City Star published this quilt pattern in February 1937 which they named Four Pointed Star. The designer was anonymous. We changed the name to Star Power because of itís unlimited possibilities. This pattern has rarely been seen because the piecing appears to be difficult. However, we have created an easy technique to get perfect points where Y-Seams are needed when adding the corner units. This star is different because it sits on point in the center of the block. Only two shapes are needed to create this versatile pattern. Template A creates the stars and template B is used to connect them.
Many unique variations can be created with this pattern. To make the stars shine, select fabrics with high contrast and a variety of textures. Fabrics should all portray the same mood. I auditioned several fabrics by cutting pieces and placing them on a design wall. Viewing cut pieces at a distance makes it much easier to make the right selections.

This set comes with two rose colored acrylic templates that have the 1/4" seam allowance included in them. The templates are laser cut out of 1/8" thick acrylic. Quick Grips are also included. Star Power also has an 18 page full color book which features eight different quilt designs to complete this wonderful new and exciting pattern.
